How to shoot the 24 photos
  1. Spin the chair, not the camera. Your barber chair already turns. The phone stays still on a tripod and the client rotates. That is what makes the spin come out even.
  2. Mark the floor. Tape around the chair base with 24 marks, one every 15°. Without marks the spin comes out jumpy.
  3. Phone at eye level, about five feet back, 2x zoom. 1x distorts the face.
  4. Lock focus and exposure. Hold your finger on the face until AE/AF LOCK appears. Otherwise every photo shifts brightness and the spin flickers.
  5. Plain wall behind, one solid color. No mirrors, no people walking past.
  6. Name them 01 to 24 before uploading. They are sorted by name.
  7. You can upload in batches. Every time you hit “Add photos” they are added to what is already there, not replaced. Within each batch they sort by name, so upload 01–08, then 09–16, then 17–24. To start over, use “Remove all”.
  8. Written permission from the client if you are going to publish it.

Barber side

The estimate only works if the barber marks when each cut ends. That is the weak link in the whole system.
